Taiwan Lucky Land Draw Might Extend Until November 2025: How Travelers Can Win NT$5,000 for Their Trip
Good news for travelers heading to Taiwan: the popular Taiwan Lucky Land draw might be extended and the Taiwan Tourism Administration has indicated the possibility of continuing it even further, possibly until November 2025.
According to the Taipei Times, individual travelers from overseas are eligible for the free draw if they enter on a non-Taiwan passport and stay in the country for at least three days (up to a maximum of three months). Tour groups from overseas that include at least four people and plan to spend at least three days in Taiwan can also receive incentives ranging from NT$5,000 to NT$50,000.
The incentive program was supposed to end on June 30, but the government is now proposing to extend it until September 30, with possible talks about keeping it going through November. Nothing has been finalized yet, but the tourism industry is welcoming the idea.
Tourism Administration Director-General Chou Yung-hui (周永暉) called the recommendation good news! The proposal to continue the “Taiwan the Lucky Land” program, which offers NT$5,000 to individual travelers through a free lottery until the end of September. Chou said he hopes this and the discounts for Taiwan Pass holders will help keep tourist numbers up over the next six months.
For context, Lucky Land (遊台灣金福氣) is a government-backed initiative designed to boost independent travel. Selected travelers receive NT$5,000, which can be used during their stay in Taiwan, on accommodation, meals, transport, or other expenses. It’s become a popular way for visitors to offset costs and explore more of what the island has to offer.
